Skee Locker: The 1st Ever Nike Zoom KD 4 (IV) N7 Gas Mask Created by Freehand Profit for DJ Skee

Live from DJ Skee's new streetwear shop, Tradition, located at the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles, California. Freehand Profit unveils the 1st ever Nike Zoom KD 4 (IV) N7 Gas Mask he created for DJ Skee in this episode of Skee Locker. Freehand Profit drew/created/designed/assembled this gas mask using 2 pairs of Nike Zoom KD IV N7 in both the black based and white based model colorways. This is part of his 'Army of the Undeadstock' series of work.

The 'Army of the Undeadstock' book will feature more than 250 pages of full color photographs showcasing nearly every sneaker mask Freehand Profit has created over the course of the past few years.

The masks he creates are part of a body of work that his been working on for a few years now. It started out as part of his daily, year-long project called MASK365. His focus was on gas masks and he was looking for new ways to customize these iconic masks since paints chips, peels and flakes off of the rubber and latex gas masks.

Freehand Profit is a Los Angeles based artist who earned his name as a graffiti artist in DC and Northern Virginia. In 2005 he graduated Corcoran College of Art & Design with a BA in Fine Arts. Since then he's rooted himself in LA's Hip-Hop scene and has been working to forget what he learned in art school and make work without the pretentiousness that all too often accompanies "good" art.

Currently Freehand Profit is exploring the iconographic nature of masks through his MASK365 project. Inspired by Noah Scalin's Skull-A-Day, Profit is creating a mask a day and publishing them through his blog. The repetitive nature of the project has allowed Freehand Profit to expand into new artistic approaches and has developed into numerous bodies of work such as the Branding Wars (a series of gas masks re-imagined and transformed with commercial goods like Nike shoes and Gucci hand bags) and the Guerrilla Art Squadron (a series of designs hybridizing gas masks and creatures).

A fine artist, graphic designer and illustrator, he has been working on countless projects from holiday cards for the Red Cross to album covers for Flesh-n-Bone and Zodiak Killa.
