On the November 4, Russia celebrates the Day of National Unity, the day which is supposed to heal the wounds caused by the great split of the country - the split caused by the 1917 Russian Revolution. As a result of this catastrophe many Russians found refuge abroad. Others devoted their talent to a new, Soviet Russia. One of them was the great Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky.
