On December 3 the Russian Booker prize was awarded for the best novel of 2008. The prize was awarded to Mikhail Elizarov for his novel The Librarian. Critics say there was nothing outstanding, or even worth reading among the nominees. Or was there? The literary secretary of the Russian Booker Committee, Igor Shaitanov, is the guest in our studio to talk about it.
