26 killed in Mexican gas plant explosion

At least 26 workers have died in an explosion at a Mexican gas facility close to the US border.

A spokesperson for the plant's operator, Pemex, said as many as 27 people had been injured in the blast and fire.

The explosion happened early on Tuesday evening near the city of Reynosa in the state of Tamaulipas.
