At least four major forest fires continue to rage in several areas of Portugal.
One of them is quite close to the capital Lisbon. Others have taken hold in the central Viseu region.
Several people have been injured and more than 500 firefighters have been mobilised.
Several aircraft have been brought in from other European countries to help douse the flames.
