Police said a car crashed into the tanker late on Saturday night in Glendale, sending flames and black smoke shooting into the air. The fiery collision in westbound lanes of Highway 134 near the junction with Highway 5 had both arteries clogged. The drivers of both vehicles managed to scramble to safety. No one else was injured in the crash. Some 150 firefighters had the blaze out in about 90 minutes.
