Nicolas Sarkozy and his socialist rival Francois Hollande are holding final rallies ahead of Sunday's presidential election.

Both men have been fighting to woo voters from other parties, particularly the far-right. 
 
Recent polls suggest that Hollande is still ahead, although the gap between the candidates is narrowing.

As Jacky Rowland reports from Vichy, President Sarkozy has been struggling to find support from voters unhappy with how he has handled the economy.
