Cash-strapped North Korea is hoping to attract foreign tourists. The country has launched its first ocean cruise.
The 130 tourists on-board for the tour from Rajin, near the China-Russia border, to the scenic Mount Kumgang resort near the South Korean border were given a colourful send-off by hundreds of North Koreans gathered at the port.
On-board though, compartments were cramped and, facilities and services were poor, unlike regular cruise liners.
It may not be everyone's idea of a cruise, but tourists on board were thrilled to be sailing to different lands.
