Libje is a Dutch Steilsteven barge ('Straight Stem') built in 1930 of riveted steel. She originally carried peat, then sand and gravel. She has an unusual design as she uses the older Steilsteven style hull, but with the later 'Luxemotor'-style aft cabin which would have been the original owners quarters when she was working.
