Young Donkey Pretty in Pink
Primrose the donkey, just three weeks old, is outfitted with bright pink casts on her front legs.

Born prematurely, the foal was at risk to develop bowed legs, as her bones had not strengthened properly. Bowed legs would likely have been crushed under the donkey’s weight.

Primrose’s owners called the vets at the Bind Equine Veterinary Practice in nearby Bridgnorth, Shropshire, who were able to give Primrose casts to protect the legs.

She doesn’t seem to mind her pink accessories, still able to feed from her mother, hopping around while the vets try to teach her a slightly more proper gait.

But of course, she seems most comfortable when sitting down.

The vets hope they can take off the casts after about two weeks.
