A Day in the Life of a Truck Driver (American 18 Wheeler)

One of the first and most popular videos I ever made; a compilation of footage taken from the cab of a big American truck (an 18 wheeler). There is a lot of this type of footage taken by US truck drivers, but usually through bug-splattered windscreens and rarely so smooth. It's a fascinating life-style, particularly in the US where the trucks (and therefore living quarters) are much larger, and the thousands of truck stops one comes to know become daily destinations for good food, facilities and access to entertainment. One of my favorite truck stops was one a block from the Las Vegas strip. Or the I80 truck stop, largest in the world, with 300 acres of parking and huge facilities with numerous restaurants and shops. Then there was the vast country itself where you could find yourself spending the night on the ocean, in the desert or in the mountains. An ideal life style for a young person starting out in life. No bills to pay except your mobile while you get out and get to see the entire country.
