Iran test fires short-range missile
Iranian TV announces that Tehran has successfully test fired a new short range missile with a guidance system it plans to install in all future missiles.

The Fateh 110 has a range of about 180 miles, meaning it would only be able to strike Iran's immediate neighbors.

The announcement follows mounting tension over Iran's nuclear facilities. The Islamic Republic says they are geared solely towards electricity production, while Western countries believe they are aimed at developing an atomic bomb.
