In a recent one, a 15 year old boy in Canada decided to have a showdown with an innocent yard object. Port Moody police were called after a witness saw a male dancing, speaking and fighting with a mailbox. Officials arrived, and believing the youth was high, tried to arrest him, needing three officers to control him. The teenager was hospitalized and released without repercussions, leaving a spokesperson to say, ‘It's just a kid who made some bad choices. Criminal charges aren't in the best interest for that kid.’
In a much more serious outcome, a Florida teen recently had tea containing hallucinogenic mushrooms, thought he was having a "bad dream" shot himself in forehead to snap out of it. According to Orlando Sentinel, after that self-inflicted wound, he attempted to clean up the blood that splattered on the carpet, bandaged his head and walked outside and asked a man to take him to a hospital. Fortunately he survived the shooting.
