"Damascus, here we come" was the latest rallying cry of Syria's anti-government protests on Friday.
The slogan seems to indicate that opposition fighters have their sights on the capital, as government forces continue to pound opposition-strongholds across the country.
Damascus is increasingly becoming the focus of opposition activity amid the occurrences of bombings, hit-and-run attacks, and demonstrations that are quickly stamped out.
Beyond that, however, Damascus remains a fortress of government control.
