Deaths in Mexico's Veracruz shootings

At least 16 people have been killed in two separate attacks by gunmen in the state of Veracruz.

The violence comes just a day after the entire municipal police force in the city of Veracruz was fired, in an extraordinary step by Federal authorities to curb corruption and drug violence.
