DRC army attempts to integrate former rebels

Polling in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been extended into its third day amidst calls by opposition leaders for results to be annulled due to allegations of vote-rigging.

But the disputed election is not the country's only challenge. In the east, the army is struggling to integrate hundreds of thousands of rebel fighters as part of a peace deal.
