Despite heavy overnight rain in the northwest of England, the Royal Lytham and St Annes course was ready for the early starters on day two.
Taking advantage of teeing off before most of his main rivals, Brandt Snedeker wasted littled time in making his move up the leaderboard. The 31-year-old shot six birdies to find himself 10 under and four clear of the field and yet to drop a shot at the championship.
