Police in China rescued a man from the ledge of a building who was threatening to jump to his death.
State TV showed video of the man perched between two window ledges, at least four stories off the ground. A crowd had gathered below.
Police say the man threatened to jump several times while they tried to talk him down.
Finally, police say one officer distracted the jumper by speaking to him on a loud speaker from a window below, while another officer reppelled down the side of the building, and came to his rescue.
Local media say the man was upset over problems with his family.
