What you are about to see are rare videos and stills discovered during the writing of LEFTY: AN AMERICAN ODYSSEY, never before seen by the public, from the personal archives of NY Yankee great and Hall of Fame pitcher Lefty Gomez and his wife, Broadway star June O’Dea.

Lefty Gomez won five World Series Championships with the New York Yankees. Lefty was the guy the Yankees sent to the mound when a World Series win was on the line and he posted a 6-0 World Series record. He also won the pitching Triple Crown in 1934 and ’37 and started and won the first All-Star game, batting in the first run in the inaugural classic. Known as much for his sharp intellect as his pitching, Lefty famously said, “I’d rather be lucky than good” and he wound up being both.
