A senior Kenyan cabinet minister and his deputy have been killed in a helicopter crash near the capital, Nairobi.
George Saitoti was Internal Security Minister and a candidate for a presidential election expected to be held by March next year. He was also the leading government voice against Somali militants, al Shabaab.
