The owners of a cruise ship that ran aground off an Italian island, maritime authorities and passengers have raised questions about the conduct of the captain of the vessel, amid accusations that he left the ship before everyone was safely evacuated.
Rescue officials raised the death toll to six people on Monday following the discovery of a man's body aboard the Costa Concordia, which remained partially submerged and listing sharply close to the coast of Del Giglio. At least 16 people are still missing, according to officials.
