US black men least likely to find employment

New U.S. unemployment figures suggest 2011 could be a year of recovery.

The nationwide jobless rate has fallen to 9 point 4 percent - that's the lowest since May 2009.

But it's not good news for everyone, for while joblessness remains a concern for all demographic groups in the US, young African American men are least likely to find work, with unemployment rates nearly double that of their white counterparts.

In New York, a recent study found only one out of four black males between 16 and 24 has a job.

Al Jazeera's Kristen Saloomey reports.
