The interim leadership in Tunisia says it has started the process of forming a new unity government.

On Sunday, the military fought gunbattles in the capital Tunis, against fighters loyal to ousted president Ben Ali.

But while rival factions battle on the streets, it is Tunisian civilians who are paying the price.

Al Jazeera's James Bays visited one community, touched by the violence.
