A LED circuit I have used over the last 25 years, with basically no faillures in the LED or other components.
I use this for ON - OFF indicating puroposes on mains circuits, indicator lights etc.
Firstly Safety ! This is a mains operated circuit, so during building , and experimenting, ensure that the power is switched off, unplugged from the socket and tested to the LED under test, when touching any wires.
