BP boss in the line of fire

BP's Chief Executive, Tony Hayward, will face tough questions over his company's handling of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill when he appears before members of the US Congress on Thursday.

Hayward is expected to tell a Congressional committee it is still too early to understand what caused the worst oil spill in US history.

The BP chief's series of public gaffes during the disaster have made him a lightning rod for criticism of the company.
