Brown sorry for 'bigot' gaffe
Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, has apologised in person for calling a woman a "bigot", while campaigning for next week's general election.

Gillian Duffy had challenged Brown with questions on a number of issues, including east European immigration.

Brown made the "bigot" remark about her after getting back into his car, which was picked up by a microphone.

Hamish MacDonald reports.
