Mexico president attacks Arizona immigration law

Felipe Calderon, Mexico's president, has criticised Arizona's new immigration law by saying it could further breed "racial hatred and discrimination".

The law allows state authorities to question anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant.

Calderon said "Mexico's government will use everything in its power to defend the rights of Mexicans who are affected by this legislation."

Al Jazeera's John Terrett reports.
