China races to rescue quake victims

Chinese authorities say more than 600 people have died and up to 10,000 are injured after a powerful earthquake struck China's northwestern Qinghai province. The 6.9 magnitude quake has reportedly turned 100,000 people homeless after flattening big parts of the region. Rescue operations are ongoing to save scores of people trapped under the rubble.
