A Russian colonel serving in the reserves has been sentenced to 12 years for spying for the US.
Vladimir Lazar has been found guilty of providing restricted topographical maps, smuggled through Belarus to an American agent.
Lazar may be kept in a maximum security prison and stripped of his military rank.
