Bacardi Supports Employees' Volunteerism; Chrysler Named Corporation of the Year; Bombardier Celebrates Girls' Day - CSR Minute for May 29, 2012

Bacardi has been celebrating its year-round corporate responsibility activities with special programs in May that focus on employees’ volunteerism. The company’s “Spirit for Life, Caring Together” initiative gives 6,000 Bacardi employees in 75 locations around the world time off from work to volunteer for such community projects as home building and meal distribution for needy families; fundraisers for educational, arts, and cultural programs; and recycling programs.

Chrysler has been named “Corporation of the Year” by the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce. Chrysler received the award for the company’s dedication to the economic advancement of Asian Pacific Americans and for facilitating financially sound business relationships among U.S.- and Asian-based companies.

Bombardier Transportation invited 83 girl middle school students to visit company sites in Kassel, Mannheim, Hennigsdorf, and Vienna as part of Girls’ Day celebrations, held throughout Austria
