Southwest Airlines has been named Eco-Pioneer of the Year by Air Transport World Magazine. Southwest was recognized for its long-standing focus on efficiency, and its triple bottom line business strategy. The company is the first winner of the magazine’s inaugural 2012 Eco-Aviation Awards.

Canadian Tire has projected a ten-times decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, due to the large-scale road-to-rail conversion that the company has undertaken.
