Thirty years ago to the day, Egypt shocked much of the Arab world by signing a peace treaty with Israel, ending three decades of hostilities. The treaty saw both countries formally recognising each other - paving the way for diplomatic, cultural and economic ties. Abdel Hamid Mohammed fought in the Six Day War between the two nations in 1967. He told Al Jazeera his story in his own words.
