A court in London has convicted three men of plotting to murder thousands of people by blowing up seven transatlantic aeroplanes.

The men were accused of planning to smuggle liquid explosives on board the aircraft disguised as soft-drinks.

Authorities say that the accused were just days away from carrying out their plan before being arrested in August of 2006.

Jonah Hull reports.
