Gunfire rings out in Syria

In the Syrian city of Douma --- it is clear that a ten-day ceasefire has not taken hold ---- at least according to this video posted a social media website. Reuters cannot independently confirm these reports .
Opposition activists say tanks charged into the city on Sunday and that shelling continues in rebel strongholds despite calls by UN envoy Kofi Annan for both sides to lay down their arms. The violence in the city, located east of Damascus, comes a day after the UN Security Council agreed to expand its team of observers in the country by 300 people.
A human rights group also reported that four soldiers were killed after their armored vehicle hit a bomb outside Douma.
