The Afghan government is asking the international community for 50 billion dollars as the country falls into ever increasing turmoil.

More than 60 countries are meeting in Paris to discuss a five year development plan.

In return for investment the current government is being asked to reduce corruption but with a burgeoning drugs trade and poppy cultivation, under the watchful eye of the Taliban, that will be no easy task.
