Fr. Bonaventure preaches on how God chose St. Joseph from all men to head the Holy Family. He was protector of the Virgin Mary and Child Jesus, and in his sufferings on this account partook in the redemptive mystery. He is the Patron of a happy death, having died in the arms of Jesus and Mary, and after death he is the protector for the larger family of the whole Church. Ave Maria!
