Uganda, Namulonge: Bednet distribution

Malaria is a significant problem here. The local clinic nurses report malaria is the biggest killer in the area. The clinic doesn't currently have the capability to test for malaria. They refer patients to Kampala, which is about an hour's drive from the village, although villagers do not have vehicles and very few can afford a taxi or the bus fare to go for testing.

1,800 nets were distributed to the Parish of BUSUKUMA and its sub-villiages, Busukuma, Naggamba, Namulonge and Seeta to achieve blanket coverage of all sleeping spaces.
