Ultra thin solar film could mean end of phone charger

Researchers in a laboratory in France are working on an ultra thin film which can harness the energy of the sun.

It works like a solar panel but is just a fraction of the thickness, meaning it could be used on smartphones, buildings, trains and so on - in short, just about anything that needs energy.
