If you are planning a trip to the Jordan Valley beware of crocodiles. Last week an unknown number of crocodiles escaped from the Jordan Valley farm after one of the caretakers accidentally left a gate open. The crocs wasted no time and headed for freedom. Soldiers, members of Israel's Society for Protection of Nature and Nature Parks Authority and others scoured the area searching for the missing crocs. 65 crocodiles were caught and returned to the farm but others still remain at large, officials said. The searches were conducted at night and spotlights were used to pick up the glint of the crocodiles' eyes. Some of the crocodiles were found some two kilometers from the farm.
