After a long dry spell it appears Winter has finally arrived as rain fell throughout the country Monday with forecasters warning the wet weather is here to stay, at least for a while. Strong winds accompanied the showers that fell from the northern parts of the country to the Negev in the south. Forecasters warned temperatures will remain low in the coming days, with Jerusalem around 11 degrees, 13 degrees in Katzrin in the north, Beersheba 15 degrees and the country's southernmost city of Eilat with the warmest with 21 degrees. At least the recent showers will help to improve the level of water in the Kinneret.
