Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas Political Chief Khaled Meshal are to meet in Mecca Wednesday, under the auspices of Saudi King Abdullah, to discuss the formation of a unity government. However, complete calm has yet to be reached in the Gaza Strip, and it is unclear whether the sides will be able to enforce a ceasefire.
