Ashkenazi: IDF will probably need to strike Hamas in Gaza

IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Wednesday that the IDF will most likely need to operate against the Hamas in the Gaza Strip, to halt the organization's weapons stockpiling, fortification, and the spillover of weapons from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank.  In addition, for the first time in the last four months, the IDF intercepted a Qassam-launching cell on its way to fire rockets from the northern Gaza Strip into Israel.
