For years, free spirits from around the world including Bob Dylan spent time working on kibbutz, the institution that originally defined what it meant to be Israeli. And although the kibbutz is now no longer a central part of Israeli society, volunteering there is starting to making a marked comeback in recent years as young people from around the world are joining kibbutz volunteer programs to see what the original Zionist-socialist dream was all about. 11/05/08
