Times Square NYE: Good Riddance Day & Confetti Wishing Wall

The co-producers of Times Square New Year's Eve -- Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment -- invite the public to say farewell, once and for all, to those bad memories of 2011 and welcome a fresh start to the New Year at the fifth annual Good Riddance Day. For this New Year's tradition, Cintas provides one of its secure, mobile shredding trucks in Times Square for participants to watch their funny, bizarre and heartfelt bad memories of 2011 get shredded into pieces.

Meanwhile, each year, people from around the world write their wishes for the New Year on pieces of confetti that will descend upon the revelers in Times Square on New Year's Eve. So far, thousands of people from more than 50 countries have submitted a wish. The public can post wishes on the New Year's Eve "Wishing Wall" at the Times Square Visitor Center until December 31st. Wishes can also be submitted online at www.timessquarenyc.org
