Business Traveling Etiquette - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. When flying with a group of colleagues or even without colleagues, here a few flying etiquette tips to heed. If you are someone who likes to sleep or rest during a flight, be sure you get the window seat so that you are not being disturbed by people getting in and out their seat. Conversely, if you are someone who does like to get in and out of your and up and down, or has long legs, ask for an aisle seat. Now, if you are the person who gets the dreaded middle seat, you will be happy to know that you get both arm rests. Now, during meals, it is courteous for you to put your chair back up so that the person behind you does not have your seat in their face when they are trying to eat. When you get in and out of your seat, be careful of not yanking on the seat in front of you giving them whiplash in that chair. Lastly, it can be tempting to get a little wild when you are with a big group but be mindful of those around you and of your professional image. Happy traveling.
