And the beat goes on... protesters in New York City continue their anti-Wall Street demonstrations Sunday despite heavy arrests the day before.
The "Occupy Wall Street" protests have garnered the support of hundreds, who are calling for an end to the high jobless rate and the 2008 corporate bailouts.
Many demonstrators in New York City have set up camp in a park near the World Trade Center and vow to stay until winter.
In Los Angeles, a similar camp with similar themes... end American greed.
Protesters blame banks, corporations, politics.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTER SAYING:
"We're really sick and tired of the fact that the banks and the corporations are really stealing from all of us, us and our friends, we are losing our homes, we are losing our jobs, our benefits are being cut. We are really all in this together."
(SOUNDBITE) (English) CLARK DAVIS, PROTESTER, SAYING:
"Our purpose is to bring attention to the substantial injustices that are occurring across our country right now, the collusion between corporate interests and political interests and the disenfranchisement of the American people, the losing of our voice."
The demos have been on-going across the state of New York since mid-September.
Organizers say they hope the protests will eventually spread across the country.
