Renu Sanghera on women's rights in Nepal

Renu Sanghera is the founder of WOREC in Nepal. She narrated a shocking story of how she got involved with women's rights advocacy when she treated an old village woman for a collapsed uterus as a young doctor. The woman had inserted a slipper into her vagina so she could walk more comfortably! She then went on to talk about how they have been able to use the international human rights framework to incorporate fundamental rights for women into Nepal's interim constitution.
