An exhibition of rare animals is making its way around Ukraine. Our correspondents caught the exhibit in Odessa and bring us the details.

An exotic animal exhibit makes a stop in Ukraine’s Odessa.

There are more than 150 unique mammals, reptiles and insects from Africa, South America and Asia.

All of them were bred in captivity, and none are poisonous.

They are kept in cages, but the living conditions are similar to their natural habitat.

This turtle can stay on land for a long time without water.

It is about 20 years old but it is able to carry up to 220 pounds on its shell.

[Vladimir Nazarko, Exhibition Representative]:
"Kids sit down on it, and it rolls the children. It is very kind."

[Anna Varavva, NTD Correspondent]:
"This monkey is named Sonya. It is also called the Golden Hand, as it is like the famous Odessa thief. It loves objects that glitter and immediately takes it into its cage."

There are other monkeys, but small ones. Fidget Pedro and Monica strive to jump out of the cage.

But this lemur doesn’t get into much trouble. Thick Larry is active only at night and doesn’t like to be disturbed while it’s sleeping during the day.

In India, the lemur is also called “shy cat.”

Clara the parrot is not shy at all. It likes to show off its feathers.

For most visitors, it’s the first time they’ve seen these exotic creatures.

[Unidentified Visitor]:
"I like the royal scorpion the most, the black one. And I like the monkey."

[Unidentified Visitor]:
"I like the cockatoo because it chews nuts and even watches."

The exhibit will stay in Odessa until August 24th and then travel to the capital city of Kiev.
