Child safety seats save lives. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), these seats reduce fatal injuries by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers in passenger cars. How do we know which car seat is right for our child? You need to choose a car seat that fits your child's age, size, height and weight. NHTSA has guidelines on nhtsa.gov that you can use to help make the right choice, or on Facebook, The Safety Lawyer's link to child passenger safety.

The safest car seat in the world will not protect your child if it's not installed properly. We recommend that you get someone certified in installing these seats to install yours and to show you how to do it correctly yourself. When you install a car seat, please don't cut corners, use all the latches and tethers that come with a car seat so you can securely anchor it inside your car. An important final point: Make sure the car seat fits in your car. Buy one that is easy to install and use it every time.
