The CFDA Fashion Awards turns ten this year honoring Marc Jacobs with a Lifetime Achievement Award and Lady Gaga with the Fashion Icon Award.
These awards showcase the outstanding in the fashion world, a "pat to the back" as Fern Mallis would put it. In such a tough and brutal industry, it's nice to recognize a designer's hard work and achievements.
